Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 August 2026 · applies to the "NRG 2026" app (Android and iOS) · Czytaj po polsku
1. Who is responsible for your data
The "NRG 2026" app accompanies the NRG 2026 event (23–25 Oct 2026, Poznań International Fair), whose formal organizer and the data controller for attendee registration is Poznańskie Muzeum Kultury Cyfrowej (PMKC).
The app (its code and store releases) is developed by XOR A Binary Research on behalf of the organizer. For technical matters concerning the app itself you can contact us at info@xor-a.com.
This document describes data processing within the mobile app. A separate privacy policy applies to the website nrgevent.eu.
2. The app works without an account
You don't need to register or log in to use the app. We don't collect your email address, phone number, or other identifying data just to let you browse the schedule, competition rules, or travel information.
Stored locally on your device only:
- Schedule content — downloaded and saved on your phone so the app works offline in the exhibition halls without signal.
- Preferences — your chosen language (PL/EN), text size, high-contrast mode, reduced animations.
This data is not collected by us or sent to any server — it stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
3. Data you provide voluntarily via forms
The app has two features where you decide for yourself whether to provide your data:
| Feature | What data | Purpose and recipient |
|---|---|---|
| "I'll be there" (attendance declaration) | Nickname, email address, demo group (optional), country, declared likelihood of attending, website (optional) | The data is sent to the organizer's server (nrgevent.eu) to add you to the attendee list. Your email is used only to send a confirmation link (bot protection) and is never shown publicly. |
| Competition entry (NRG Awards) | Message content you fill in yourself — e.g. nickname, entry title, category | The app only opens your email client with a pre-filled draft addressed to compo@nrgevent.eu. You send it yourself, outside the app — the data goes directly to the organizer the same way a regular email would. |
Both features are optional — if you don't use them, no personal data leaves your device.
4. App permissions (Android)
The app requests the following system permissions:
- Internet — downloading and updating schedule content from the organizer's server, and showing the directions map.
- Notifications — sending reminders about schedule items, only if you enable them yourself.
- Run at device boot and exact alarms — needed only so that reminders you've already set still fire on time after your phone restarts. Enabled only after you opt in to reminders.
The app does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or files on your device.
5. Third-party services
To show directions to the Poznań International Fair, the app uses Google Maps (Google Maps SDK), provided by Google Ireland Ltd. Google, as an independent data controller, may process technical data related to displaying the map in accordance with its own privacy policy.
The app does not contain any analytics or advertising tools (no analytics SDK, behavioral tracking, or ads) and does not sell or share data with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Data retention period
Technical data (schedule, preferences) stays on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its data in your system settings.
Data from the "I'll be there" form and from entry emails is retained by the organizer (PMKC) for as long as needed to organize the NRG 2026 event and settle the competitions, after which it is deleted or anonymized, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
7. Your rights
If you provided your data through a form in the app, under GDPR you have the right to:
- access your data and obtain a copy of it,
- rectify your data if it is incorrect,
- request erasure of your data ("the right to be forgotten"),
- restrict or object to processing,
- data portability,
- lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
To exercise these rights in connection with the attendee list or competition entries, write to compo@nrgevent.eu. For technical matters concerning the app itself, write to info@xor-a.com.
8. Children
The app is not specifically directed at children and does not contain content or features requiring age verification. However, the forms described in section 3 do require an email address — if you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian for help before filling them in.
9. Changes to this privacy policy
This document may be updated, for example alongside new app features. The current version is always available at this same address, and the date of the last change is shown at the top of the page.
